About this app
Okay, here’s the short version: Bird Sort 2 is a one-finger color-sorting puzzle where you tap birds, move them between branches, and try to get each flock together so they can fly away. Sounds chill. It’s not. At least—not always. How it works: tap a stack of same-type birds to pick them up, tap another branch to drop. When a flock is completed it leaves and that branch disappears. No, seriously — that disappearing-branch rule is the twist that turns cute into teeth-grinding. There are levels where you only sort birds. There are levels where you must release birds first, then sort. There are timed rounds, lives that refill (or don’t—depends on your patience), and boosters: undo, extra branch, shuffle, break-rule (yes, for those desperate times), and freeze time. "Wait — do I need boosters to finish?" — Nope. The devs say every level is beatable without boosters. But hey, that doesn’t mean you won’t want one. I haven’t bought any yet, but I’ve definitely used shuffle when a level laughed at me. This game is for casual players who like puzzles with a tiny bit of teeth, for people who enjoy fiddly planning but don’t want super-complex controls. It’s also for those nights when you should be sleeping but instead you’re trying to rescue a bird that insists on sitting in the wrong spot. (Guilty.) Pause. Think about that: a branch disappears every time you finish a flock. That changes everything — you can't just juggle indefinitely. Strategy matters. There’s a shop, coins, home decorations, team challenges, and regular events. Graphics are bright and goofy — the birds are cute, yes, but they will humble you. Expect ads unless you opt out, expect microtransactions if you chase cosmetics or want to shortcut the truly evil levels. If you want a game that’s easy to learn but sometimes ruthless, this will fit. If you hate being nudged toward in-app purchases, you’ll get annoyed. Either way, it’s not the same as the first Bird Sort — it’s meaner, in the way a witty friend is meaner after one too many drinks.
Editor's Review
I downloaded Bird Sort 2 at 2 a.m. because I have questionable priorities. Two hours later: still awake, still oddly satisfied, still slightly angry. That’s the vibe. The new rule — branches vanish when a flock leaves — is the whole game’s personality. It’s a tiny mechanic change that forces you to think ahead. I got stuck on a "super hard" level for a solid two hours (yes, two), and I yelled at my phone. Then I took a walk and came back and beat it. Victory tasted like stale coffee and triumph. I like that the controls never fight you. One finger and you’re moving birds. I dislike that the energy/life and booster economy nudges toward spending if you want fast progress. Not a dealbreaker — but don’t pretend it’s not there. Players on Reddit and Discord often trade level screenshots and clever solutions; there’s a community for the stubborn ones. I found a trick (no spoilers) that saved me on a timed round — which felt great. Dialogue, because why not: "Friend: 'How'd you clear that stage?' Me: 'Pure stubbornness. And a shuffle. Maybe both.'" Bottom line: Bird Sort 2 is charming and petty in equal measure. It’s not casual fluff, and it’s not a cash grab dressed as free. It sits somewhere in the middle — addictive, occasionally maddening, and definitely worth a late-night spin if you like puzzles that make you think three moves ahead.
