About this app
I used TCGplayer App to scan and price my collection—point, snap, sorted. It syncs my inventory, tracks live prices, and lets me shop thousands of seller listings (saved me twice).
Editor's Review
I spent a caffeine-fueled hour scanning ~250 cards. Most matched instantly. A few foils freaked out (ugh). Price alerts shoved me into a quick flip that paid for my snacks. The catalog is massive—don’t expect perfection, but it’s the best pocket tool I’ve used for tracking and buying cards. Quick tip: good lighting = fewer misreads. Also—watch seller ratings. I’ve rage-quit once (seller mix-up), and I’ve had tiny triumphs twice (found an underpriced gem).
Pros
- Scans large batches fast (I scanned a pile while my pizza cooled)
- Live price history and push alerts that actually helped me sell a card
- Syncs your collection across devices so nothing vanishes mid-tournament
- Access to thousands of listings—good for hunting rares
Cons
- Foil/holographic cards misidentify more often (hold your breath and try again)
- Seller listings can hide shipping costs—read the fine print
- Occasional UI hiccups on older phones (force-quit, then it’s fine)
- Not fully offline—no scanning/price lookup without data
